Government has not made any decision yet on possible postponement elections
WILLEMSTAD – During a press conference the Prime Minister of Curaçao, Dr. Bernhard Whiteman indicated that his government has not made any decision yet on whether to postpone the elections of September 30 or not. The Prime Minister said that on Friday morning at 6 am they will officially announce this.
The Prime Minister also announced that schools will be open tomorrow as usual.
According to the meteorologist Albert Martis, Curaçao will start feeling the effects of the tropical storm on Thursday evening. After the storm has passed our island then it will probably become a hurricane category 1.
Curaçao has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Matthew. According to Martis the storm will pass more south than was expected.
