Guangdong Zhenrong wants contact with PdVSA
WILLEMSTAD – The Chinese state-owned Guangdong Zhenrong Energy (GZE) has asked the government of Prime Minister Hensley Koeiman to mediate contact between the company and the current operator of the Isla refinery, Petroleos de Venezuela (PdVSA).
At the introductory visit of the GZE delegation to the Prime Minister, The Minister of Finance Kenneth Gijsbertha, who is in charge of public companies operating within the energy chain, was also present.
After the meeting, both Ministers said that they were impressed with the intentions of the Chinese companies. The Prime Minister even said that if the project continues, it would create many jobs for the local community.
