Hodge, Martina and Pieters in Second Chamber Dutch Parliament

Second ChamberTHE HAGUE – Prime Minister Daniel Hodge, Minister of Economic Development, Steven Martina and Minister Plenipotentiary Roy Martina had a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee for Kingdom Relations in the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament. Previously they met with the same Committee in the First Chamber of the Parliament.

Some of the topics discussed were the actions the Government is taking to insure a long term balanced budget. Minister Martina also gave an explanation of the need for an integrated investment process in different sectors on the island.

After the meeting, the delegation met with the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Frans Timmermans. Subject of their conversation was the new OCT system with Europe. Curacao’s participation in trade missions was also discussed. These missions have strategic and economic importance and are mostly in countries such as Brazil, Colombia and China.
