Hodge speaks with Rutte about new Governor

Prime Ministers OfficeWILLEMSTAD – Prime Minister Daniel Hodge and his counterpart Premier Mark Rutte discussed the successor of Frits Goedgedrag as Governor of Curacao. Hodge expects that in two to three weeks the nomination will be more clearly. It is up to Curacao to nominate a candidate for the position of Governor but it will be coordinated in advanced with the Netherlands.

Frits Goedgedrag resigned on October 22, 2012 due to health reasons. Since then, the task was performed by Acting Governor Adele van der Pluijm-Vrede.

Hodge also discussed the Kingdom Conference, which has been postponed three times and there is still no new date scheduled.
