InselAir says to have papers in order for Suriname

ZitaWILLEMSTAD - The local aviation company InselAir has all papers in order to fly to Suriname. There is an airline agreement between Curaçao and Suriname which applies in this case, says the representatives of the airline.

Tickets are already being sold for the first flight on December 18, but the government in Paramaribo is not giving green light for the flights. If no solution comes up, this can have consequences for, among other things, flights from the Suriname Airways (SLM) to Curaçao.

The Minister of Traffic, Transportation and Spatial Planning, who is in charge of aviation, Zita Jesus-Leito already indicated that this issues must be investigated thoroughly. If InselAir is not allowed to land in Paramaribo, then Curaçao must decide what it will do with SLM’s landing permit.
