Investigation Marvelyne Wiels completed
WILLEMSTAD - Ombudsman Alba Martijn has completed her investigation into the functioning of Plenipotentiary Minister Marvelyne Wiels in The Hague.
In late March, she has already presented her preliminary findings to Prime Minister Ivar Asjes. The responsibility for Wiels lies with Asjes as Minister of General Affairs.
The investigation into Wiels in the Curacao representation in The Hague was started after her actions were questioned by reporters and politicians on the island. One of the issues is the erroneous information in her resume. The sudden move of the Curaçao House to a pricey rental property was also questioned. Wiels also exceeded her budget as Minister Plenipotentiary.
Premier Asjes has until the end of the month to respond to the preliminary findings, the final report will be prepared thereafter.
