Jamaloodin must still turn in some “stuff”

WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Finance is still awaiting a visit by former Minister George Jamaloodin. He has some “stuff” in his possession which have to be returned to the Ministry. These are goods that he had used during his tenure as Minister of Finance, but which are not his personal belongings.

These “stuffs” are five (5) guns, seven (7) iPads, one (1) touch screen, one (1) digital camera and one (1) laptop.

He bought all these things for personal use but kept them when he was deposed. The department of Finance has repeatedly sent a letter to Jamaloodin requesting him to return all these articles.

When he was deposed as Minister there were reports that Jamaloodin continued using the Government’s car which is a Honda Accord. He was requested to turn this car in.

Jamaloodins successor Dr. Jose Jardim says that the former Finance Minister will get the bill anyways.
