Judge: Consultation between quarreling parties in Central Bank
WILLEMSTAD – The court has sent the quarreling parties within the Central Bank back to the negotiating table. These parties are part of the Supervisory Board (SB and the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.
The Chairman of the SB, Renny Maduro and Commissioner Tom Cook, both assisted by lawyer Karl Frielink, filed a lawsuit against the President of the bank, Emsley Tromp and Directors, Jessy Hasselmeijer and Alberto Romero.
Maduro and Cook want an integrity investigation by the Belgian Triforensic. A considerable amount of 80,000 euros has already been paid as an advance by the management - but there is already a second bill of 68,000 euros, which has been submitted by the agency - but mid-July Tromp decided that he did not want to continue with the investigation. He has serious doubts about whether the Supervisory Board have legally decided to investigate the management of the bank.
