Kingdom not set in stone
THE HAGUE - The Kingdom is not cast in concrete, but a new change every five years is also something too much of a good thing. This is according to the Minister of Kingdom Relations, Ronald Plasterk in an interview with the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant.
He thus responds to the many setbacks in recent years. Saturday it will be exactly five years since the Netherlands Antilles were dissolved and there was a new political structure for the Caribbean and the Netherlands.
The minister is against too rapid change, but sees it as inevitable.
