Large crowd participated in a protest march
WILLEMSTAD - About two hundred people participated in the protest march of Kòrsou Fuerte i Outónomo (KFO), Curaçao Strong and Autonomous. The group’s leaders, among others, lawyer Chester Peterson wants a new referendum on the constitutional structure of Curaçao.
According to the group the last referendum on the constitutional future of the island was not clean and there was even money involved to influence the outcome. Other politicians were also present during the march, including MFK leader Gerrit Schotte, Gilmar Pisas and PAS leader Charles Cooper.
Peterson says that Curaçao is the only country in the world that self-determination was given away in exchange for a bag of money.
