Leeflang wants vote of no confidence against Wiels
WILLEMSTAD – The Independent Member of Parliament, Omayra Leeflang has announced that in the next parliamentary meeting in which they will discuss the Curaçao House, which is Curaçao’s representation in The Hague, or the Minister Plenipotentiary, Marvelyne Wiels, she will present a motion to dismiss her completely from her function.
On January 11 of this yes, the Independent MP asked to receive the third report on the functioning of Wiels, but has not received this yet.
Leeflang also requested a meeting on this issue, but this was not granted. The MP says that she will be supported by the opposition party MAN, and also the other Independent Member of Parliament, Marilyn Moses.
What Leeflang wants is a vote of no confidence against Wiels. As a Minister Plenipotentiary, Wiels falls directly under the Prime Minister of Curaçao. The Premier is politically responsible for that post.
