MFK: “Access to the oil documents”
WILLEMSTAD – The leader of the opposition party MFK, Gerrit Schotte has requested the documents related to the Kompania di Petroli i Gas Korsou (KPG), which is the newly established Curaçao Oil and Gas Company. This request was made to the President of Parliament, Marcolino Franco.
There is a public meeting of parliament today on the KPG. This is the reason why the MFK has requested the documents. The MFK indicated that they have noted on the website of the Office Supervision and Standards Government Entities (STBNO) that the government has a number of documents that are of great importance to the public meeting.
These documents include, among other things, a letter from Prime Asjes to the Ministerial Council on the establishment of KPG, the draft statutes of the government’s public company and a business plan for the period 2014-2019.
The party wants for the President of Parliament to invite Prime Minister Ivar Asjes to submit these documents before the commencement of the meeting. According to MFK, the opposition needs to be well prepared for this meeting.
