Minister Palm suspends high official at MEO

de palmWILLEMSTAD – The Minister of Economic Development (MEO), Stanley Palm is at odds with his management team. Last Thursday, Palm denied his director of Foreign Economic Cooperation, Vanessa Toré access to the Ministry for three months. Communication problems between the minister and his management team are the reason.

Two other members of the management team, Zulaika Mook and Luelo Girigorie received a written reprimand.

According to sources within the government there is a conflict on the progress of USONA projects. The minister feels that there was information withheld from him. Palm wants public accounting firm foundation SOAB to investigate the actions of Toré.

Sources within the government are accusing Palm of micromanagement. Recently Palm’s party leader Alex Rosaria said that his party is against micro management.
