Ministerial consultation Urgency Program

urgency programWILLEMSTAD - Officials from various ministries discussed last Friday about the content of the Urgent Program.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW), Education, Science, Culture and Sport (OWCS), Health, Environment and Nature (GMN), Justice and Police (Top C) Transport and Urban Planning (VVRP), Economic Development (MEO) and General Affairs (AM).

Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath was present to open the consultation. He expressed his appreciation for the good work that the officials have been doing and stressed the importance of cooperation between ministries for developing and implementing the Urgency Program. After a short introduction, the participants have worked till late in a positive atmosphere for the program. Two groups discussed the ongoing activities that have already taken place. Various activities in the context of poverty reduction can be implemented in cooperation.

This program will begin in Buena Vista, Montaña and Bándabou, more specifically in Barber. The team working on the drafting of the Urgency Program will complete the work soon and submit the program to the Council of Ministers. It is the intention to begin implementation in September.
