Monday answer on questions Zika
WILLEMSTAD - After two weeks waiting the time has finally come: on Monday the Minister of Health, Environment and Nature Siegfried Victorina will answer questions about the Zika virus in Curaçao.
Earlier this month there was an emergency meeting called in parliament to talk about the virus. The Minister then indicated that four cases have been registered here in Curaçao.
The Minister was not able to answer the questions raised by the Members of Parliament. He said in the meeting that he would need about two weeks to answer the questions. He was heavily criticized, because this is a serious issue, which needs urgent measures. He was also accused of not having a sense of urgency.
But now the time has finally come. The Minister will be in parliament this coming Monday when the meeting will be resumed.
