Natural gas for oil refinery and BOO plant
WILLEMSTAD - The Multidisciplinary Project Team which deals with the future of the Isla Refinery has reached an agreement with the Venezuelan state oil company PdVSA to use natural gas as fuel in the Isla Refinery and the BOO plant. This will help reduce the air pollution by 80 percent.
This is according to the spokesman of the Multidisciplinary Project Team.
The team has been negotiating for almost a year now to use natural gas and has now been given the green light for it. The spokesman said that Aqualectra can also make use of the natural gas.
