New Chinese Consul General meets with Minister Plenipotentiary

Consul-generaal-China-BRON-KABINET-VAN-CURACAOWILLEMSTAD – The soon to be new Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Chen Qiman, recently paid an introductory visit to the Minister Plenipotentiary of Curacao in The Hague, Marvelyne Wiels. Qiman will be the first Consul General of China in Curacao and will take office as soon as her credentials are presented to the Governor. She will be in Curacao but will also have jurisdiction for the other islands within the Kingdom.

Qiman has 24 years of international experience as a diplomat. Before her appointment as Consul General in Willemstad, she worked as Consul General of China in Zanzibar, United Republic of Tanzania.
