New Ministers sworn in
WILLEMSTAD – Today, Eugene Rhuggenaath and Siegfried Victorina were sworn in as Minister of Economic Development and Minister of Public Health, Environment and Nature respectively.
Minister Rhuggenaath succeeds Stanley Palm, who had to step aside after the former PAIS MP, Dr. Marilyn Moses resigned from her party and continued as an Independent MP.
Coalition party PAIS now has 3 MPs in Parliament, instead of 4. This means that they had to sacrifice a portfolio during the negotiations to form a new coalition. The new member of the coalition, PAR took over the Ministry of Economic Development and appointed Rhuggenaath as their new minister.
Victorina succeeds Dr. Bernard Whiteman, who became Prime Minister.
