No report yet for the Governor
WILLEMSTAD – The ‘informateur’, who is the person appointed by the Governor to seek information from the parties that have received seats in parliament after last elections, did not present his final report to Governor Lucille George-Wout yet. ‘Informateur’ Kenneth Gijsbertha stated, when he was appointed by the Governor, that he will present his findings on October 25.
Gijsbertha hopes to be able to present his report this coming Friday. The reason for this delay is because the four parties that have signed an agreement to form a coalition are still discussing the number of ministerial posts that each should get.
The winning party MAN wants a distribution of 4-3-1-1. But the smaller parties PNP and Pueblo Soberano (PS) each want two ministries.
This morning they will meet again with Gijsbertha to find a solution to this issue.
