Ombudsman: “Survey on quality of government services”

Curacao Government CenterWILLEMSTAD - For hours trying to get in contact but the phone is not picked up or picked up but without answering. Having to wait for months for a permit or a document.

These are the frustrations that people still have to deal with when they exchange their experiences about the government apparatus.

The question is whether the government really treats its clients as badly as is concluded on the basis of these stories. An honest answer based on facts is actually not there because it has never been investigated. Ombudsman Keursley Concincion wants clarity about the quality of the service and has, therefore, started an ex officio investigation.

A survey via social media on which people can express their grievances, but also their positive experiences with the government, should give a picture of how civil servants deal with those who appeal to them.

It must also be clear whether there is discrimination in customer handling.
