PAIS: code of conduct for MPs
WILLEMSTAD – The Members of Parliament are fed up with their own behavior. This is according to the political leader of the coalition party PAIS and faction leader in parliament, Alex Rosaria. Yesterday, Rosaria proposed a new code of conduct, which should be central during parliamentary meetings.
Shouts and long monologues should become a thing form the past, according to Rosaria. Interruptions are also not allowed anymore.
The Independent Member of Parliament, Omayra Leeflang has also proposed to modify the current Rules of Procedures. Reason for this is to allow good debate and discussions in parliament between the MPs and not through the President of Parliament.
Rosaria also wants the MPs to make public their secondary activities and incomes.
