Curacao Beach

WILLEMSTAD - PAIS is concerned about the cleaning, maintenance, accessibility and safety of the Curaçao beaches. The party fears that especially the seven busiest beaches are currently suffering. These beaches are, according to the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB); Caracas Bay, Daaibooi, Santa Cruz, Big and Small Knip, Forti and Kalki.

The party headed by Alex Rosaria has therefore drawn up twelve questions for Ministers Stanley Palm (Economic Development) and Ben Whiteman (Health, Environment and Nature). The party wants to know if there are agreements between LVV (Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries) and CTB on the beaches and what investments were done over the past five years. PAIS wants to know if there is a protocol on the maintenance of these beaches. The party is also curious about the accessibility for disabled beach
goers
. In addition, they want to know if the guards have sufficient facilities at their disposal. They also want to know if there is a lifeguard and if first aid is available at any public beach. The latter is according to the party is not the case.
