PAIS inquires about status motion “liability”

Alex RosariaWILLEMSTAD – Leader of the PAIS faction in Parliament, Alex Rosaria, has sent a letter to the Prime Minister inquiring about the status of the motion “liability of directors and government officials” which was  adopted by Parliament in January 2013.

In this motion, Parliament asked the government to seek advice from the Advisory Council on the possibilities that exist or need to be created to hold public company directors of government officials liable for bad policies, squandering of public funds and breach of the law.

This motion was then presented by the PAIS faction, supported by 14 members of Parliament, given the precarious financial situation of the country and the poor financial policy which has been conducted in recent years and which caused the current Government to take measures affecting citizens directly.

For Rosaria this is a sense of urgency and therefore hopes to get an answer soon from Prime Minister Hodge
