PAIS members want party leadership to resign
WILLEMSTAD – The situation within the PAIS party is still tense. The members also want the board of the party to resign just like the former leader Alex Rosaria did last week after the elections. The results of the elections were devastating for the party that saw its representation in parliament go from 4 seats to zero.
The prominent member and number three on the candidates list Eugene Cleopa demanded the resignation of the entire leadership of the party. “Rosaria is not the only one responsible for the elections defeat but also the entire board. That is why they have to resign too,” said Cleopa during a meeting of the party members.
The board members did comply with the demands of the members and each resigned during the meeting.
Cleopa indicated that they will finish the process of evaluation and after that they party will hold elections to choose new leadership.
