PAR leader: “It’s not right to negotiate a new government through the media!”
WILLEMSTAD – “As a political party, we respect the results of the recent elections. The winning party was the MAN and in our opinion, they are responsible for the formation of a new government,” said PAR leader, Zita Jesus-Leito.
Jesus-Leito’s comments came after the leader of the opposition party Korsou di Nos Tur (KdNT), the businessman Amparo dos Santos who said that the PAR is putting pressure on the other coalition members PNP and Pueblo Soberano (PS). Dos Santos said that if those two parties would negotiate with his party, both will get two ministers.
For Jesus-Leito, the negotiations should abide by the rules. “It’s not possible for Dos Santos’ party to negotiate a government through the media. But I know that Dos Santos is disappointed because we will form a government without them and we will do an excellent job.”
