PAR letter is not clear

WILLEMSTAD - The letter PAR has sent last Wednesday to formateur Glenn Camelia where the yellow party indicates that they still want to be part of the formation process, was a bit unclear for the other negotiation parties. This was stated in an interview PAIS president Mike Franco had with the morning Dutch newspaper Antilliaans Dagblad.

Camelia discussed the letter of the yellow party yesterday during a meeting with Pueblo Soberano, PAIS, PNP and independent member of parliament Glenn Sulvaran (former PAR member). During this discussion, it was shown that it is unclear for the parties whether the PAR indeed wants to continue. Thus, for instance the PAR in its letter to the formateur indicates that, because it was stated in the media that they should continue, they are willing to pick up conversation with the other parties. “For us, it is therefore unclear whether they themselves really want to or that they do it only because they think other are interested,” says Franco.

Camelia designated a person to draft a letter to the PAR to request clarity on the matter. “So we want to know whether they really want to join and what track they want to follow. They have indeed been shown not to want to work on a transition government and that is what we are now doing”, said Franco.
