PAR not yet ruled out

WILLEMSTAD - The formation process is progressing. Pueblo Soberano (PS), PAIS, PNP and Independent Member of Parliament Glenn Sulvaran are engaged in the distribution of the ministries. According to the newspaper Antilliaans Dagblad, it is still possible for that PAR to sit down at the negotiation table.

In a letter to the PAR, formateur Glenn Camelia indicates that the party itself has to take the initiative to participate in the negotiations to form a new government for Curacao. Only in this way can be checked whether the other parties would like to have the yellow party at the table. The formation is taking place behind closed doors. It therefore remains conjecture which parties will fill which ministries. Meanwhile, nine working groups, one for each ministry, are working to identify how the ministries are doing especially their financial situation. The atmosphere in the formation, according to PS-leader Helmin Wiels, is positive. Whether ultimately a transition cabinet or a new government will come, is also not yet clear. According to the Pueblo Soberano leader Helmin Wiels a government program could be forthcoming within a week.
