PAR wants openness about third study Curaçao House in The Hague
WILLEMSTAD – The coalition partner PAR wants a copy of the third investigation report on the functioning of the Curaçao House in The Hague. The coalition party also wants to know what the reason was to request a third investigation into the same subject after the ones performed by the government’s accountants’ bureau SOAB and the Ombudsman.
It appears that it was the Minister Plenipotentiary, Marvelyne Wiels, who asked for the investigation. Reason for this is that there was never an investigation performed on the functioning on the Curaçao representation in the Netherlands as was done in other embassies.
The main focus of the investigation was on the policy and operations of the Curaçao House as an organization. Wiels indicated that she will not say anything about the results of the investigation.
The PAR demanded during the coalition negotiations in November last year the post of Minister Plenipotentiary, because of the constant problems with Wiels. The party eventually took pleasure with the appointment of a deputy minister plenipotentiary from its ranks.
