Parliament meetings next week

Temporary Parliament buildingWILLEMSTAD – The Parliament of Curacao will meet next week on Wednesday and Thursday. The Parliament will treat the 2010 budget on Wednesday. The budget has been delayed because no approval was given previously.

On Thursday, the Parliament will talk about Chief of Police, Marlon Wernet. Mr. Werner was sent home after the death of Luigi Florentina during his detention in Barber. In the final report on his death, new information has surfaced. The last item on the agenda is the alarming situation of crime on the island. Nelson Navarro Minister of Justice is taking the floor.


The debates will be broadcasted live via a live stream on the radio on 92.1 FM. On both days the debates begin at 09.00.
