Parliamentary meeting on convicted MP did not continue
WILLEMSTAD – The meeting was announced with great fanfare, but ultimately did not continue. The parliamentary meeting on convicted MPs. Pueblo Soberano did not show up, even though that party has said that the conviction of Gerrit Schotte could not remain without consequences. Also the PNP leader Humphrey Davelaar and independent member Marilyn Moses were not there. Humphrey said in a radio interview that he was in his office, but did not want to attend the meeting.
Because of this, the MFK got their way, because they heavily protested against the holding of this meeting. According to the MFK the conviction is not definite. Gerrit Schotte appealed and they will want to wait until the court of appeal rules in the case.
