Parties at Central Bank are still negotiating
WILLEMSTAD - The two members of the Supervisory Board (SB) of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten and the management are still negotiating. In connection with a busy schedule, their meeting was postponed until this coming Monday.
Last Monday the two members of the SB filed a lawsuit against three members of the management of the Central Bank. These commissioners are Renny Maduro (Chairman) and Tom Kok. The purpose of the lawsuit is to force the management to continue with the integrity investigation done by Triforensic from Belgium.
According to the President of the Central Bank, Emsley Tromp there is no legally valid decision of the SB for the investigation. This is according to the two other commissioners. There is no clarity about the scope of the investigation.
Judge Peter van Schendel indicated immediately that a court ruling sometimes is not beneficial and he insisted on a negotiation without lawyers.
