Plasterk starts official visit in Curaçao
WILLEMSTAD – The Dutch Minister of Kingdom Relations, Ronald Plasterk started his official visit to Curaçao today. In a full agenda, he will visit various social projects.
The central theme of his visit is a consultation with the Government on the oil refinery Isla, the Curaçao Dry Dock and the dispute agreement in which the islands want to influence decisions of the Kingdom Council of Ministers.
Plasterk's agenda is so full, that a meeting with the activist group Clean Air Everywhere will not be possible. The environmental organization asked for a meeting to convey the concerns of the residents living under the shadow of the refinery.
