Possible postponement court process Schotte
WILLEMSTAD - There is a small chance that the lawsuit against Gerrit Schotte on Wednesday will be postponed. Reportedly, it was not possible to hear Francesco Corallo.
The alleged mafia boss was called as a witness by the lawyer of Schotte, Peppie Sulvaran. The former Prime Minister together with his partner Cicely van der Dijs are accused of fraud and money laundering.
Sulvaran wanted to hear 47 witnesses, but Judge Lips only allowed seven witnesses. Then Schotte's lawyer decided to recuse the judge. The council did not accept this request.
Corallo is seen as an important witness in this case and therefore was admitted to be heard.
