Prime Minister along on official royal visit to the U.S.
WILLEMSTAD – The Prime Minister of Curaçao, Ivar Asjes is in Arlington, Virginia. He traveled together with the Prime Ministers of Aruba and Sint Maarten, Mike Eman and Marcel Gumbs respectively to accompany the King and Queen of the Dutch Kingdom to lay wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arlington National Cemetery.
With this ceremony the Kingdom thanked the Americans for the liberation of Europe. The royal couple is on an official visit in the United States. The prime ministers of the islands traditionally go along with this sort of visits.
Afterward, the Royal couple and the three Prime Ministers visited the World Bank, where they talked about the sustainable development of the Caribbean islands.
