Prime Minister of Curacao on papal audience with Pope Francis in Rome

PopeVATICAN, WILLEMSTAD - The Prime Minister of Curacao, Dr. Ben Whiteman was on 16 September present during the papal public audience in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican, accompanied by the Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao, Ms. Marvelyne Wiels, the bishop of Willemstad, Monsignor Secco Luigino SDB and Pastor Curtis Meris.

The pope holds every Wednesday unless he is outside Rome, a papal public audience in St. Peter's Square to give pilgrims and visitors the chance to see the pope and to receive the Apostolic Blessing of the Successor of the Apostle Peter during their visit.

After the papal public audience, the Prime Minister of Curaçao went into private audience with Pope Francis.

Then the Prime Minister and his delegation were given a tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where the famous '' creation '' of Michelangelo can be admired.
