Rosaria: Venezuelan Consul goes too far
WILLEMSTAD - According to Alex Rosaria, leader of the coalition party PAIS, the Venezuelan Consul goes over the line with her appeal to the people of Curaçao to sign a petition against President Obama.
He said this in an official party statement. The Consul responded to the statement of Obama that Venezuela currently poses a threat to the national security of the U.S. Obama also announced new sanctions against the government in Caracas.
Rosaria believes that the consul went too far, as a diplomat and went against various international conventions and protocols. The political leader, thereby uses a UN treaty that entered into force in 1992.
“A petition in which you have to choose between the two presidents Maduro and Obama is odious and inappropriate, said Rosaria.
Opposition party PAR agrees and has called on Prime Minister Ivar Asjes to express his disapproval of the action of the Consul.
