Rosaria wants prevention against Ebola

AlexRosariaWILLEMSTAD – The dreaded Ebola virus is spreading in several West-African countries. PAIS leader Alex Rosaria calls it "not unrealistic" that the virus could also strike here in Curaçao and he wants immediate action. As an MP, Rosaria used his rights to ask questions to the government and wrote a letter asking about this Ebola virus and what the government is doing to take action to prevent this virus from ever reaching the island. His letter was directed to the Minister of Health, Dr. Ben Whiteman.

Rosaria asked nine questions in his writing. He wants for the Minister to respond to the spread of the virus, which so far has claimed more than 1,000 lives. He asks whether the Curaçao ministry is in contact with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Central American control and prevention organization CDC. He also wants information about the capacity of the authorities who have to check on those people who travel from the epidemic area.
