Ruling party PS wants to meet on Minister Plenipotentiary
WILLEMSTAD – The parliamentary faction of the ruling party Pueblo Soberano (PS) has requested a public meeting on the latest developments in Kas di Kòrsou (Curaçao House in The Hague). The faction also asked the President of Parliament, Marcoline Franco, to include the report published by the Ombudsman on the Minister Plenipotentiary, Marvelyne Wiels, on the agenda of the public meeting of parliament.
The request, signed by the members Jaime Cordoba, Elmer 'Kadè' Wilsoe, Winifred "Wini" Raveneau and Sherwin Leonora, indicate that they have read the report on the functioning of the Minister Plenipotentiary in The Hague, who is also a member of their party.
In their letter to President of Parliament, the MPs propose to invite the Prime Minister, Ivar Asjes, who is politically responsible for the Minister Plenipotentiary, to come to the meeting to answer their questions. The Prime Minister is also a member of the Pueblo Soberano party.
The PS is not the first group that has requested a meeting to discuss the report. On June 28 there was a request by the opposition faction MFK.
The Parliament of Curaçao is currently in recess until early August.
