Ruling party ready for reorganization
WILLEMSTAD - The political party Pueblo Soberano (PS) is going to involve its members in the process of the election of a new political leader. The new board proposes to draft a plan which will guide the process of the election.
The first general meeting of the PS after the elections for a new board went uneventful. This is according to the re-elected president Edward Joseph. At the meeting the president, treasurer and secretary gave a presentation of the plan of action, which runs from August to December of this year. In that plan the introduction of a new system is included to register members and to collect financial contributions. In addition, there are various social-educational activities planned for members.
The period before the election went quite tumultuous, criticizing the nomination of Prime Minister Ivar Asjes, who then withdrew. The new statute is valid from July 20 of this year. Members are reminded that the board is working to fill the places described in the organization. Anyone interested in any of these functions, may approach the board.
In addition, the members, according to Joseph, made good use of the free talk time to ask their questions and to put forward their ideas. The board will shortly sit down with members in small groups to answer questions and discuss any concerns.
