Schotte also loses appeal in case against Franco
WILLEMSTAD – The former Prime Minister of Curaçao and current MP for the opposition party MFK, Gerrit Schotte has lost his legal case against the President of Parliament, Mike Franco again. On appeal, the court came to the same conclusion as in First Instance.
The judge is of the opinion that he is not allowed to interfere in the conflict. In April, Franco ordered the removal of the former Prime Minister from the parliament meeting. According to the court, they may only interfere in exceptional cases when there are conflicts in parliament.
This is now not the case, said the Court. Schotte, as the losing party, must pay for the costs.
