Schotte: “Curaçao in a poor financial situation”
WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao financial situation is serious. Gerrit Schotte announced that at the presentation of the MFK’s candidates list for the elections on September 30 this year.
The situation, according to the MFK leader, is comparable to that of 2010. He relies on the analyses of an economist, but he did not mention the professional by name.
The former Prime Minister blames the poor financial situation on the current Minister of Finance Dr. Jose Jardim. According to Schotte, Jardim took out irresponsible loans. This is why the debt has increased.
In 2012 the Government headed by Gerrit Schotte was placed under supervision by the Kingdom Council of Ministers for a bad financial policy.
