Schotte: Dispute regulation on hold will deteriorate relationship in the Kingdom

SchotteWILLEMSTAD - With the attitude of the Netherlands to put the dispute regulation on hold, the relationship between Curacao and the Netherlands will only worsen, according to the leader of the opposition party MFK and former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte in response to the statements of the Undersecretary of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops. The Undersecretary said that the dispute regulation has no priority.

Schotte emphasizes that a dispute regulation actually revolves around the democratic deficit, where the power relations in the Kingdom Council of Ministers are not the same.

Schotte wants the voice of Curacao, Aruba and Sint Maarten to be of the same value as that of the Netherlands.
