Schotte indeed wanted to appoint Corallo

Alex RosariaWILLEMSTAD – The government Schotte was still planning to appoint the Italian, Francesco Corallo, to an important function. That was explained by Alex Rosario of partido PAIS. He claims to have heard this from sources in the Dutch Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs.

Rosaria had several meetings with staff of these ministries during the past week, in which they discussed that Curaçao should have the opportunity to be more involved in foreign affairs. For example, according to Rosaria, more Curaçaoans should be appointed at Dutch embassies. During these conversations it was revealed that the previous government certainly has put forward candidates.

According to information from the Netherlands, the internationally sought for criminal activities Corallo was nominated as ambassador of Curaçao in Santo Domingo. Former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte denies the nomination of Corallo. He calls the story "another lie of Rosaria.
