Schotte is looking for a new lawyer
WILLEMSTAD – Former Prime Minister and current Member of Parliament Gerrit Schotte needs to find a new lawyer. Schotte confirmed the news that his lawyer Eldon Sulvaran withdrew from his case. He did not give details about the reason for the break.
However, says the former Prime Minister, it is strange that he had to find out in the news about the date for the pre-trial of this court case. According to Schotte, the Public Prosecution is after him because of the elections.
“Nonsense,” says the Prosecution. “Schotte has just received a court summons.” His appeal in the Babel case will start on August 11 of this year. That’s the pre-trial day. Schotte was sentenced to three years in prison, fraud and forgery by the court of first instance.
