Selikor action at Malpais is over
WILLEMSTAD – The blockade action of the waste management company Selikor in landfill Malpais is over. The parties have reached an agreement. There is a new selection procedure for the higher positions, so that its own staff can have the opportunity to apply for these jobs.
The staff explained that they laid down the work out of dissatisfaction with the hiring of three external people. According to the union, there are enough potential Selikor employees around in order to qualify for higher positions.
The government and company management agreed to release the newly filled positions again so everyone can apply for them. The three men who were already hired for the position will be offered an alternative position.
