Serious financial problems Capriles Clinic
WILLEMSTAD - With the intervention of Minister of Public Health Siegfried Victorina, the psychiatric clinic, Capriles, has come into even deeper financial problems. This is according to the director of the clinic, Waldi Oostburg during a recent press conference.
The Minister has decided that 300,000 guilders of the monthly budget, which is 1.6 million guilders will be directly distributed to the staff. “The budget is not even enough for us to operate the clinic, now with this decision, we will really drown,” said Oostburg.
It is now uncertain whether the wages of October will be paid. This week 120 of the 250 employees laid down their work at the psychiatric clinic. They did not receive their salary for the month of October.
According to the management's current budget of 1.6 million guilders is not enough to offer the quality that is expected from the clinic.
