Tackling organized crime with the U.S.
WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao, Aruba, St. Maarten and the U.S.A will intensify cooperation in the fight against organized crime. In June, the four countries will sign a protocol for this cooperation in Amsterdam.
This was recently announced by the Minister of Justice, Nelson Navarro. The three islands want to make more and better use of the expertise the U.S. has to offer on the fight against drugs, human and arms trafficking and also money laundering.
The Minister did not give more details about the cooperation but did indicate that this is a positive step for Curaçao, especially its image internationally.
