Teaming enables the creation of Smart Nation Curaçao

Smart NationKey groups are willing to invest in their personal development so they can keep up and adjust to changes cause by Smart Nation. From 2016 coming up there have been a rising account of events: lectures, seminars, workshops, trainings and conferences related to this topic. The current cabinet of prime minister Eugene Ruggenaath has also taken Smart Nation as one of their policy priority engagements.

In today’s knowledge-based economy, teams are the principle vehicle by which work gets done. Whereas industrialization essentially infantized* workers, in the knowledge-based economy teams only works well. Infantized* = industrialization treats workers as a child or in a way that denies their maturity in age or experience.

Organizing to Learn (new thinking as result of the Knowledge-based Economy)

Smart Nation1Teaming is the new foundation for learning and development of the independent as a mature worker.   

What is Teaming? Teaming teaches the person the ability to work with people with different backgrounds in a knowledge driven environment. Teaming is the base. It includes the interpersonal actions and behaviors required to rapidly collaborate, adjust, and learn. Coming week key groups participate in a seminar, which is organize by IndigoBlue. It introduces the participants to the principles, how you get teaming to work in your workplace. These key groups vary in type of participants with  different backgrounds.

These are:

  • Self-employed entrepreneurs/ freelancers/ consultants
  • Project leaders/ division-managers/ supervisors
  • Technicians/ engineers, middle managers/ leaders of the middle
  • Workers in NGOs/ Foundations/ Associations/
  • Members of Coops
  • Advisors, Public service employees/ collaborators,
  • Members of tiger teams/  multi-disciplinary teams,
  • Members of expert-groups; change agents/ professionals in the field of human resource management
  • Problem solvers/ long-life learners/ team players
  • Professionals in the health care sector (participants at the “House of Change”)
  • Professionals in the ICT and media sector;
  • Professionals in the ‘creative sector’
