The head of the investigation team wants the government to comply with a coalition agreement
WILLEMSTAD - The head of the investigation team Elbert Sambo calls on the government to comply with the government agreement on integrity. All institutes that play a role in the fight against corruption must be strengthened according to Sambo.
Sambo said this Thursday evening during a documentary and debate evening about corruption organized by Kòrsou Transparente and CoWorld - CoWorking Community Curaçao
According to both organizations, corruption is also a major problem within the community. Reason for initiators to think together about strategies to prevent and combat corruption in Curaçao.
Prior to the debate, the documentary 'The Cost of Corruption ... Jamaica's Barrier to Prosperity' was shown.
Sambo says there are plans for growth for the national investigation team. He thinks it is a worrying development that corruption has reached such a scale that various institutions for combating corruption must be expanded.
