The Netherlands does not interfere with construction new hospital
WILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE - The Dutch government does not believe that they should interfere with the construction of the new hospital in Curaçao.
The funds for the construction were borrowed from the Netherlands. It was recently announced that the construction will cost 58 million more.
The Dutch MP for the VVD party, Andre Bosman asked questions about the increase in the cost of the construction.
The Hague has said in the past that the construction of the hospital is monitored by the Financial Supervisory Board. And it remains so. Curaçao must in its sole discretion regulate the budget overrun. The Netherlands will not interfere, since it’s an internal affair.
